Financial Information

In order to provide you with the best quality leadership training, there is a cost involved.  Also, when you need to pay for training, there is the psychological incentive for you to want to put in your best so that you can get the most value out of the training.  Think of this training fee as a financial investment in your leadership development that will have valuable returns in the future.

Training Costs

The individual fee to participate in The Way:Leadership Development Cluster 1 is $450.  Our recommended contributions for paying this fee is as follows:

WA Conference Subsidy: $100
Local Church Contribution: $150
Personal Contribution: $200

You will need to negotiate the local church contribution with your church. The Leadership Development Department will support your application to your local church by confirming that you are participating in The Way:Leadership Development. If your local church is unable to contribute to the training fee, you will need to find other ways of paying this part of the training fee.

Payment Plans

There are a number of ways that you pay your personal contribution to the training fee, depending on your financial situation:

A. Full Payment: You can pay for the whole amount in one single payment of $200. This will be payment will be due by 31 July 2012 in order to undertake the Student LPI Assessment.

B. Payment Plan: You can pay the amount in four instalments by the following dates:

  • 31 July 2012: $50
  • 31 August 2012: $50
  • 30 September 2012: $50
  • 31 October 2012: $50

Similar payment plans are available for the local church contribution as well. Note that the training fee will need to be paid in full to graduate in June 2013.

Payment Options

There are a number of ways that you can make the payments for your personal contribution to the training fee:

  • E-giving: You can make payments through the WA Conference's E-giving system, which can be accessed via http://wa.adventist.org.au/e-giving. Select “WA Conference” as your church from the drop-down menu (NOT your local church) and enter your payment on the “Other” line. This will open out a box just below in which you write the description of what you are paying for, i.e. The Way Program – Leadership Training.
  • Credit Card: You can visit the WA Conference and make the payment by your credit card. The WA Conference Office is located at 44-60 Station Street, Gosnells and the phone number is 08 9398 7222. Ask to speak to Danny Johnson.
  • Cheque: Make the cheque out to "SDA Church (WA Conference) Ltd." and post it to "Danny Johnson, Senior Accountant, WA Conference, PO Box 134, Gosnells WA 6990." Include a note that this is a payment for The Way:Leadership Development Training.
  • Cash: You can visit the WA Conference and make the payment by cash. The WA Conference Office is located at 44-60 Station Street, Gosnells and the phone number is 08 9398 7222. Ask to speak to Danny Johnson.
Note: Please send an email to SvenOstring [at] adventist.org.au, and carbon-copy the message to DannyJohnson [at] adventist.org.au, to confirm the payment that you have made.  This is to ensure that we keep track of the payments that you have made so that you can continue to progress with the program.
