Active August is ADRA Australia’s virtual distance challenge that is completed throughout the month of August. Participants commit to walk, run or ride 50km, 100km, 250km, or a distance of their choosing to fundraise to fight hunger.

In 2024:

45 participants out of 171 were from WA

WA participants raised $27,930 of the total $31,032 raised during August

13 of these were repeat participants

WA’s Active August participants made up seven teams, including:

  • Albany

  • CIVCON, Platinum & MME

  • Easier Said then Run

  • The Sharers

  • Wheatbelt Wanderers (3rd year running)

  • Pr Ben

  • Merredin Walking Group
