Refreshing the spirit: pastors’ retreat celebrates ministry and relationships

Late last year, our pastors, chaplains, and their families travelled to Busselton for a retreat at the Abbey Beach Resort. The last retreat of this kind was held in 2015, so it was well and truly time to do it again.

The theme for the weekend was Refresh – an invitation for our team to ‘come aside and rest a while’ (Mark 6:31). It coincided with the annual pastor’s appreciation weekend and was an opportunity for their faithful ministry to be affirmed and celebrated.

There were 130 people, including nearly 40 children. Special thanks to our childcare helpers, who enabled the parents to have some child-free time and a date night.

Mike and Pam Tucker travelled from the US to be there and spoke about how we can have happier, healthier marriages and relationships.

We are blessed to have a great team.
