Teen Expedition 2023: Follow Him

In a dynamic and exciting venture, 30 teens, accompanied by 12 dedicated staff, navigated through Perth’s suburbs and CBD, lodging at various SDA churches along the way before arriving at Advent Park and spending a few nights there.

They engaged in various activities throughout the week, from foot races around Rockingham, Fremantle, and the CBD, to biking through the city, canoeing the Canning River, abseiling at Statham’s Quarry, and participating in a service project at Cannington Seventh-day Adventist Church. Teens forged bonds, discovered resilience, and faced leadership challenges throughout the week.

Each day commenced and concluded with heartfelt worship to foster spiritual reflection and growth with God, with the week’s theme based on Jesus’ invitation in Matthew 4:18, to “Follow Him.”

This teen expedition, blending faith and physical challenges, stands as a testament to the church’s commitment to disciple and nurture character and resilience in its youth, fostering growth in their relationship with God.
