ADRA Appreciation: Easter Camp

ADRA was fully involved at Easter Camp. Different ADRA officers held one-on-one engagements with several Easter Camp attendees. We also made presentations in the different tents to promote the role of faith communities and engagement.

There was an ADRA tent set up to display the various community activities that we are involved in. The ADRA tent was manned by the ADRA Cannington Community Gardens Team, who displayed several of the native plants that are propagated at the gardens. The team also educated and advised several visitors about permaculture. At the end of Camp, several attendees bought most of the plants. In addition, the ADRA Maida Vale op-shop was open to the public. Some attendees donated items to the op-shop.

ADRA wishes to thank all our volunteers for participating in these activities. Without you, we would not have achieved all our goals for Camp. We also thank and appreciate all the attendees for purchasing from the op-shop and the products from the community gardens. In fact, ADRA Maida Vale op-shop had their biggest sales during each day that the op-shop was opened. Some of you have been major donors to the op-shop.

Your helpful, giving ways and your generous heart enables ADRA Maida Vale to achieve a lot for the community. The op-shop personnel wish to thank you for your kindness and will not soon forget it. They claim that the WA camp attendees are one of the nicest people to frequent the op-shop.
