Celebrating Miranda Leijser’s Leadership and Heart for Ministry

Miranda has served as our pastor at Carmel Adventist College Church on two occasions. First as an intern, and later as a fully-fledged pastor. We have been blessed by her return and the unique strength she brings to our church community.

One of Miranda’s key strengths is her ability to connect across generations. This aligns perfectly with the mission of Carmel Church to ensure that every generation is nurtured and cared for. Her commitment to seeking the truth, avoiding gossip, and addressing conflicts with integrity demonstrates wise leadership. She is never afraid to ask questions and seeks guidance from those around her.

Many of you who know Miranda will also know she has a love for food, travel, and adventure. She often draws on these experiences as examples, and illustrations in her sermons, making her messages both down-to-earth and relevant. Her unique perspective on life, God, and the Bible is truly inspiring.

As part of the elder team, Miranda is inclusive and God-centred. She is wise, insightful, and a deep thinker, guiding our discussions in elders’ meetings, board meetings, and business meetings with patience and care. Her preaching style fosters a relaxed atmosphere at church, filling both the church and our hearts with joy.

It is a pleasure to work alongside Miranda. Her organisational skills and preference for regular, well-structured meetings are appreciated by all. She is kind, considerate, and full of empathy.

Above all, Miranda loves God and loves her congregation. She leads us to love God and care for one another as a family.
