God’s Unseen Ways in Derby

In the month of May, we had the privilege of presenting the "Panorama of Prophecy" seminar, with Doug Batchelor, in Derby. For 26 consecutive nights, we welcomed 24 to 30 attendees each evening, sharing messages of hope and prophecy.

Doug Batchelor, who had visited Derby some time ago, was remembered fondly by many. One First Nations woman, who had a photo taken with him during a previous visit, started attending church every Sabbath, and is now close to becoming a member of our congregation.

In the spirit of nurturing these newfound connections, we have been conducting follow-up Bible study sessions every Thursday. We have seen several attendees coming together to delve deeper into their faith. During one of these studies, I asked a woman for her thoughts on the seminar. She expressed her love for it, sharing that she watches Doug on TV as often as she can.

She then mentioned that her neighbor had given her a book titled "The Richest Caveman" by Doug Batchelor. Interestingly, we had five copies of the book to distribute during the seminar, but God had already ensured she received a copy. This demonstrates His remarkable timing and provision.

This experience reminded us that while we put in the effort to share the gospel, God has His unique ways of reaching hearts, in ways beyond our imagination. Praise God for His mysterious and marvelous work.
