Living Waters Recent Baptisms

Alfia Tripodi is our neighbour who lives just across the road from our house church. Our friendship developed and she started attending our house church together with her 3 grandchildren. She also has three children whom we include in our prayers. One of them is named Pasquale. He has been addicted to drugs for years. He went to drug rehabilitation six times, the last visit lasting twelve months. It was there that he was introduced to Sunday church service. This was the point of his life where he knelt down on his knees with his hand up to heaven and he dared God to help him or kill him. He knew he was going downhill.

He started reading the Bible, and he said in his testimony “what an answer to prayer” that God put the church right in front of his house (The Living Waters Fellowship church plant). He met one of our church members and they informed us that Pasquale wanted to be baptised anywhere at anytime. A visit was arranged the following day. I invited him to our fellowship and he started coming to church with his mother, his nieces and nephew. He attended our Bible study baptismal class and on the 10th of July 2022, Pasquale was baptised along with 3 others: Mark Carandang, Mark Mangubat, and Joshua Mallari.

Pasquale’s mother was accepted in the church fellowship through a Profession of Faith. First it was the mother, now it is the son. Only time will tell how far God will perform miracles in this family’s life. For the meantime, keep loving your neighbour. That is how and where the miracle begins!

Mark Carandang was the last of a family of four to commit his life to the Lord. He was a young man looking for purpose and meaning in his life through what the world has to offer him. Initially he was hesitant to attend the fellowship, let alone the Bible study. It was because of the consistent witnessing of his family that he came to church for the first time. The more he attended, the more he felt the warm embrace of the fellowship. He became a diligent student of the Word. He and his sister became involved in church life taking charge of the audio/visual ministry.

Joshua Mallari was introduced to the Lord by his wife of 2 years and became lax in his faith, but now has found a new spiritual vigour in his life.

Mark Mangubat had quite a similar experience. The heat of the crucible he is experiencing in life has led him to a closer walk with the Lord. Amazing grace!
