WA Pathfinder Camporee 2024: Faith-Shaped

Over the September long weekend, more than 450 Pathfinders and staff gathered for the 2024 WA Pathfinder Camporee. Set against the backdrop of the Gideon story, the camporee was an inspiring blend of adventure, faith-building, and fellowship.

The event was themed around Gideon, and through creative activities and challenges, Pathfinders learned how God shapes and strengthens our faith, even when we feel inadequate. Pr Uili Mauga delivered powerful messages throughout the weekend and drew on Gideon’s story to illustrate how, like Gideon, we are called to trust God with the challenges we face in life. His engaging talks culminated in an invitation for the young people to commit or recommit their lives to God, which was met with an overwhelming response as many Pathfinders stepped forward in faith.

A heartfelt thanks goes to all the dedicated staff and volunteers from the local churches and Pathfinder clubs through to the District Directs, advisory members and Mornington staff. Their efforts in organising and supporting this camporee made the entire weekend possible, creating an environment where our young people could connect with each other and deepen their walk with God.
