Testimonies of Faith: Journeys to Baptism and New Beginnings

Testimony from Bridget Pedzisah I am a sinner saved by grace, broken and mended by my potter. I was baptised on 20th July at Morley Church with my daughter, Tarisai, and it was the best day of our lives. I will continue praying that, as I walk through life’s darkest storms, I may look to the cross where I first saw the light and remember my redeemer. He left his honour, power, and glory in heaven, was crucified for my sake, and is truly the King of Kings, Lord of Lords, my creator. Christ Jesus is my perfect example.

Testimony from Tarisai Nicole Pedzisah Though I was raised Anglican in Zimbabwe, I attended various church denominations except Roman Catholic and Seventh-Day Adventist. I loved going to church, and by age 8, I started going alone to learn more about God. At 9, I decided to become a nun and was baptised at 10. Before starting my training, I moved to Australia and began attending an SDA church. Over the past six years, through the Holy Spirit and the church’s support, I realised what I had been searching for was in Testimonies of Faith: Journeys to Baptism
and New Beginnings my home all along – the Bible. I never read more than a single page of it until now. It has taught me God’s promises and brought me peace, knowing I am not fighting this battle of sin alone. I have Jesus Christ, my Saviour, to guide and protect me. I was a lost sheep, but the Great Shepherd found me.

Testimony from Susan Andrew I thank God, the Mighty Warrior who fought all my battles and brought me from darkness to light. Since the first day I joined what I thought was a church of God, the Holy Spirit warned me that the

people there were not with Him in their hearts. I didn’t see it then. One Sunday morning, I had a dream of a sea creature with powers approaching me. Now, I understand it was the marine kingdom. The Man of God at my previous church was a wolf in sheep’s clothing [Matthew 7:15]. God helped me out, and I met a friend from the Seventh-day Adventist Church. Now, I am a baptised member, starting a new life in Christ Jesus [Jeremiah 29:11].
