Harvey Church Celebrates Baptisms and Promotes Health

Recently, Harvey Church experienced a special Sabbath with the baptism of three young people: Sophia Villegas and her brother Kyle Villegas, Kazuki Valdez Dumaran, and a fourth person who returned to the church on profession of faith. In picture 1 below, Elder Alex Hodgkinson reads out their baptismal statements.

This brings the total number of baptisms at Harvey Church to six in the last 12 months. Vegetarian cooking demonstrations and health talks continue to be in demand in the Harvey community. Two separate presentations have been given so far in 2024, both held at community organizations. Firstly, at Harvey Community Resource Centre, where Moriah Godfrey conducted a hands-on cooking workshop and Alex Hodgkinson gave a health lecture.

Secondly, Harvey Southwest Community Care requested a vegetarian cooking demonstration by Dianne Weir at their Mother’s Day celebration on Wednesday, 8 May. It was attended by over 30 ladies who all received a Glow tract entitled “Steps to Health”.
