Inspire the Lioness Women’s Camp
On the last weekend of July, Mornington Adventure Camp hosted their annual “Inspire the Lioness” ladies weekend. After what was supposed to be a weekend with heavy rain, we were blessed with beautiful weather. We were so grateful to have so many women from all different walks of life, come together for a weekend to connect with each other and develop many new friendships.
Over the weekend the ladies were given the chance to participate in various bush walks, canoeing on the lake, ziplining in the night (even at the age of 78) and completing the crate challenge. It was great to see so many ladies overcoming personal fears and encouraging each other through these activities.
The weekend commenced on the Friday night where the ladies were able to catch up around the fire whilst having dinner, then enjoying a hot beverage provided by Leon Pitt in our new Silo Café.
Tianie Calais’ mission was to “Feed the Lioness” which she did by providing the ladies with some inspirational and encouraging words of wisdom, along with how to lead, nurture, care and protect our “Pride”. She encouraged us to not expect a smooth sailing life but rather to challenge ourselves and equipped us with tools to navigate the waves
of life.
The Mornington team, along with some amazing men, were there to serve food and drinks and make sure the women were well cared for. The ladies thoroughly enjoyed being able to come away for the weekend to recharge and appreciated having delicious meals cooked for them!
