High School Hangout: Uniting Teens Rain or Shine for Faith & Fun

Rain, hail or shine - teenagers don’t seem to care! Our High School Hangout had rain and shine (no hail thankfully). Over 100 teenagers flocked to Landsdale Christian School to meet with each other and to hear a message from Pr Max. Teenagers from Busselton, Bunbury and Merredin had travelled quite a long distance to be there - along with many from all over Perth gathered. High School Hangouts are all about ‘Connections’. Firstly, the Teens spend time with each other. Some playing games, others around the fire pits, still others just chatting and having a good time. There’s always some food to be found - this time it was Pizza (you know you’re doing something right if you have some leftovers after the hungry teens have eaten). Worship began with connecting with each other with Landsdale’s famous ice-breaker (ask a teenager if you want to find out). The team led the connection to God in worship music which was engaging, beautiful and uplifting. Pr Max spoke of struggles in life and pointed to a connection with God that can be found in the Scriptures. How are you connecting with God?

A huge thanks goes to the ‘Crosspoint’ team, led by the chaplaincy team at Landsdale with Pr Travis Townend and Sela Uilou and all of their willing helpers.

The next High School Hangout on the calendar is on 25 October at Armadale Seventh-day Adventist Church.

Hope to see your teenagers there!
