What is Sabbath School Sabbath?
Did you know that Sabbath School can generate excitement and fresh energy across all the ministries in your church? Dr. Sun Ii Kim, in his doctoral research at Andrews University, discovered that “consistent attendance at Sabbath School is linked to higher levels of spiritual achievement and satisfaction. Those who attend regularly are more likely to experience spiritual growth and become committed disciples of Jesus.”
I believe this is because Sabbath School is unique in integrating all the essential ingredients for discipleship. It might just be the most important ministry in your local church.
To highlight its significance, we have dedicated one Sabbath each year as Sabbath School Sabbath across our conference here in WA. This year, it falls on the 12th of October. On this day, we encourage you to think of creative ways to celebrate your Sabbath School. This could range from individuals sharing their testimonies about how Sabbath School has enriched their lives to focusing the sermon on the history and impact of Sabbath School. The possibilities are endless—get creative!
Let’s use this opportunity to rejuvenate our churches and deepen our collective spiritual journey through the vibrant ministry of Sabbath School.
